Shipping policy

INTRODUCTION

Thanks so much for trying Bittman's NYC! We're so excited to share our products with you. We only ship orders in accordance with our Shipping Policy due to the perishable nature of our products.


Please note: We do not ship to PO Box addresses and accept no liability if you place an order to be shipped to a PO Box.

WHEN WE SHIP

  • Orders are dispatched each week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (where possible), for arrival later the same week. We DO NOT ship any packages to transit over the weekend.

  • Orders placed Wednesday afternoon through Friday typically ship on Monday.

  • Orders placed Saturday through Monday typically ship on Tuesday.

If we are aware of impending weather conditions such as heavy snow, hurricanes, storms, road closures etc, and/or public holidays that have the potential to impede/delay shipment or delivery of your order, we may choose, at our discretion, to hold your order and ship at the next available opportunity.


HOW WE SHIP

  • When you order with Bittman's, we dispatch your order in an insulated, biodegradable eco-cooler using dry ice and ice packs. 

  • We pack in accordance with requisite transit times and prevalent temperatures. Our packaging is capable of withstanding several days in transit.

  • Your shipment should arrive with the items frozen or cold to the touch. Note that items will thaw to some extent in transit, but this is expected and entirely fine. All items should be suitable for returning to the freezer upon arrival.

  • We ship to any location in the 48 adjoining U.S. States.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

We are not responsible for any information provided to us by our customers, particularly inaccurate or incomplete shipping information. We strive to mitigate any inaccurate information by using bespoke shipping address software, and you may be requested to validate, review or confirm your shipping address once your order has been placed. 

Once an order has been placed, an order confirmation is issued to each customer containing the order information, shipping address and billing address.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all order information is accurate and complete. Customers are also responsible for making sure that all packages are accepted in a timely manner, with all products immediately refrigerated or frozen upon arrival.


YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • We genuinely care about your opinion and want you to be totally satisfied with your order.

  • Your products will arrive at your door at least chilled  (noticeably cold to the touch).

  • If any products are found to be damaged upon arrival, the wrong item was shipped, or some other issue occurred with your shipment, please contact us at hello@bittmans.com and we will work with you to correct it. Please also review our Returns policy if you have further questions.
