How we ship

We bake the bread, freeze it when it's perfectly baked, and pack it to travel. Here's what happens between our bakery and your kitchen.

When your order ships

  • We do our best to ship your order within 1-3 business days from when you place it.
  • We ship Monday through Wednesday, and sometimes Thursday (but only if your order won't get stuck in a warehouse over the weekend).
  • Orders placed Friday, Saturday, or Sunday go out the following week.
  • Adding it all up, your order can take up to 7 business days to reach you, depending on when you placed it and where it's going. But 3-5 days is the norm.
  • You'll get notifications when your order ships and is delivered.

What it Costs

  • It costs $14.99 flat to ship anywhere in the country — EXCEPT when your order is $99 or more. Then shipping is free. That's it — no zones, no surcharges, no math.

What shows up at your door

  • Your order travels in biodegradable, insulated packaging designed to protect it in transit. Depending on the season, your destination, and what's in the box, that may include dry ice, gel packs, both, or neither. Different products want different things, and we pack accordingly.
  • If there's a dry ice bag in your box and it's empty, we promise nothing went wrong. Dry ice doesn't melt, it disappears (the word is "sublimates," actually), and an empty bag means it did exactly what we sent it to do.
  • Especially in warmer months, it's perfectly normal for bread and pastries to arrive thawed, and for there to be a little condensation. We've tested, and the breads handle thawing and refreezing beautifully.

We're confident that when it arrives, your bread will be ready to enjoy. Eat it, heat it, or freeze it for later.

P.S. If your bread bag is torn (or if something else seems really off) just let us know and we'll fix it.
